Beautiful Bute

Autumn in Wales has its share of trouble, starting with humidity (mould, oh mould) and darkness falling at 4pm. Thankfully, it comes with a consolation prize. Have a cuppa, look out of the bow window, ignore those pugnacious black spots behind the curtains for a day, and see the trees gone gold.

Truth be told, I am a week late. A lot of leafs have fallen already, covering the city pavements and park trails with their dangerously slippery texture.

But it would be foolish to think that a week is all it takes for all the trees in Cardiff to undress. Direction Bute Park, the Welsh capital's very own Central Park, sneak peak of a Saturday morning stroll:

In this season, I do miss the dry(ish) air of France. But if there is one reason why life in Cardiff is worth braving the humidity, it is for the beauty of its luxuriant gardens. Now, time to remove these mould stains, again.
